Vladimir Davidia
Overview
Vladimir Davidia is a Ukrainian painter based in Kyiv. His practice explores the expressive possibilities of paint through a dynamic balance of figuration and abstraction, using bold colour, gesture and symbolic imagery to create psychologically charged compositions.
Influenced by the painterly traditions of artists such as Rembrandt, Diego Velázquez, and Frans Hals, Davidia combines a classical understanding of form with a contemporary expressionist sensibility. His works often explore themes of spirituality, vulnerability and the emotional resonance of colour.
Davidia studied at the Mykhailo Boichuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative-Applied Arts and Design, where he developed a rigorous foundation in drawing and painting that continues to inform his practice.
His work is held in private collections internationally and he has exhibited in galleries and exhibitions across Europe.
