Overview
September Song, Francis Boag

Francis's first solo exhibition at Fraser Gallery, St Andrews, since Lesley Franklin took ownership at the start of May 2024. And, having personally collected Boag works for a long time, she is delighted! In May, Lesley visited Francis on the Ury Estate and was struck by the splendour of the landscape. Such an emotional response to the landscape is very evident in Francis’s unique depictions of the North East of Scotland. Then, as they sat enjoying lunch at Stonehaven Harbour, she was also struck by the kindness, humour and humility of such a major contemporary artist. ‘
