Jacob Topen

Jacob joined Gallery Franklin in November 2025 as Gallery Manager, supporting the gallery's day-to-day running and programme, and producing digital content across web, social and video. Born in Perthshire, he has longstanding ties to St Andrews and attended Madras College.

Jacob holds a Master of Design with Distinction from Glasgow School of Art, and a BA (Hons) in Film Production. Before joining Gallery Franklin, he worked across artist studio and gallery environments in Scotland and London, photographing and filming artworks for exhibitions and collectors internationally.

Outside the gallery, he has over a decade of experience as a director and creative producer across film, TV and advertising. He is currently directing Gallery Franklin's first series of artist films.
